About Us

Founded in 1976 by Ralph and Mary Ann Williams, M.A.’s Smoke House—named in honor of Mary Ann—became one of the first tobacconists in Northwest Louisiana, setting the standard for premium pipe tobacco and fine pipes. Their commitment to quality and service laid the foundation for what would become a cherished local institution.

In the 1980s, their son, Buddy, took the helm, expanding the business to include a selection of premium cigars, further enriching the offerings and reputation of M.A.’s Smoke House.

In 2015, the business transitioned to new ownership, ushering in a new era of growth while preserving the core values that made M.A.’s an icon. With the addition of two more locations—M.A.’s Cigars in Bossier City and Havana Cigar Lounge in Shreveport—the brand has continued to thrive, offering both tradition and modern comfort to cigar enthusiasts.

Today, M.A.’s remains the oldest independent tobacco retailer in Louisiana, proudly serving as a destination for those seeking exceptional cigars, a welcoming atmosphere, and a touch of history.

  In the spring of 2023, Southern Smoke Cigar Lounge opened its doors in South Shreveport, Louisiana, establishing a premier destination for cigar and spirit enthusiasts. Designed with elegance and comfort in mind, our high-end lounge offers an extensive selection of premium cigars and carefully curated spirits, creating a refined yet relaxed environment for patrons to unwind.

In November 2023, we proudly introduced our newest addition—Club Macanudo—inside the prestigious Margaritaville Casino Resort in Bossier City, Louisiana. For nearly three decades, Club Macanudo has been a celebrated destination for cigar enthusiasts worldwide, known for its elegant ambiance, impeccable service, and commitment to excellence.

Now, Margaritaville Casino Resort in Bossier City becomes the home of only the second Club Macanudo location in the U.S., and the fourth globally.
